Hi, I’m Sara Vanaman-Munson. My heart for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities began within my own family. Growing up with a sister with developmental disabilities and raising two adopted sons with developmental disabilities has given me a personal understanding of how much trust it takes to welcome someone into your loved one’s life.
For ten years, I have worked as a paraprofessional with Modesto City Schools, supporting students with disabilities, including those with intensive behavioral and personal care needs. My experience includes helping with daily living activities, supporting individualized behavior plans, and working closely with families and school teams to encourage independence. I have also provided respite care and have served as an individually vendored provider through Valley Mountain Regional Center since 2024.
I founded Pillar Support Services because I understand both sides of care—the responsibility of providing dependable support and the parent’s hope that their child will be understood, respected, and safe.
My vision for Pillar is simple: compassionate, individualized support that honors each person’s dignity and gives families room to rest. Whether supporting a child or an adult, I want every person to feel valued and every family to feel heard.
Strength for Families.
Care with Purpose.
